Photography in Days of Pandemic

A work from my series of photographs about “Isolation in Istanbul”. One of the places I photographed in order to document the isolation brought forth by the pandemic for future generations was the Galata Bridge and its surroundings. I felt that the rusty lock, which probably only served a particular wish, reflected our mood on the days of isolation. The deserted Golden Horn, the bridge and the Galata Tower provided the backdrop.
